The BA-5590 batteries contain a high temperature fuse or thermal switch to protect against reverse polarity. The  BB-2590 rechargeable batteries feature a handy LCD display to indicate the state of charge. BB-2590 batteries can be used as replacements for BB-590/U, BB-390NU, BB-690/Y, BA-3590/U and BA-5590/U. The BB-2590 batteries contain no mercury or cadmium, so they're environmentally safe to dispose of.

BB-2590 chargers must be paired with the same manufactuer of the Battery. We offer Ultralife and Bren-Tronics brand batteries. In purchsing the chargers, please be sure to purchase the Ulralife Charger when purchasing the Ultralife battery.  The cable length of the Ultralife single battery BB-2590 charger is 24 inches, and the weight is a compact 15.2 ounces.
